Women of All Red Nations Group Interview, September 2022

Oral History GATHERING

Through conducting oral histories, we provide a space for warrior women of the Red Power Movement to share their stories – in their own words. Oral histories transmit more than an account of events; they reveal how the past is felt, inherited, embodied, and understood. Oral histories also challenge us to critically interrogate “History”;  whose stories are told and what ways of being and knowing are heard?

Archiving Activism through Activist Archiving

Our archive elevates the narratives and perspectives of those who have worked on the frontlines of movements for Indigenous self-determination and decolonization. Our goal is to make these histories accessible and actionable to those who need them most: organizers on the ground, frontline & fenceline communities, and educators working towards decolonization and anti-racism in the classroom.

Community-accountable research & media production

We strive to create media that is beautiful and stays true to the multiple, layered histories that narrators share. We maintain ongoing relationships with storytellers and their communities –  rooted in trust, accountability and reciprocity.
