“The significance of the Warrior Women Project’s exhibit is difficult to overstate. The exhibit transcends mere storytelling; it is akin to a curriculum of Lakota pride.Through highlighting the bravery of our Unci’s (Grandmothers), it has given our Lakota boys and girls a renewed sense of identity. Seeing the courage and strength of their ancestors and relatives depicted so powerfully has instilled in them a sense of pride in their heritage. The work of WWP is not just beneficial but necessary for our cultural and spiritual well-being. It is a beacon of hope and a source of strength for our community.
